Davóne Tines

RITUAL
Charleston, SC | December 18th, 2025

RITUAL is a concert ceremony that invites people to experience music as a direct conduit for dealing with personal problems.

This iteration of RITUAL is both performance and sound bath that includes music from Tines’ Recital No. 1: MASS along with sound meditations from flutist Deshaun Gordon-King. Through this experience the audience is asked: What has kept you restless? Where do you find restlessness in your body? When is the last time you let yourself rest? Where do you find refuge in times of restlessness? How will you be a refuge for someone else? RITUAL invokes a space to be with sound, be with each other, and be with yourself.

RITUAL was hosted by Spoleto Festival USA and presented at the historic Middleton-Motte-Pinckney House in Charleston, South Carolina.
