John Silvis

John Silvis is a New York and Berlin-based art advisor and curator.
He received his Master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Art Vienna with Arnulf Rainer. Silvis’ extensive art research includes contemporary artists in South East Asia, China, South Africa, the US and Europe. Recent curatorial projects have included Season 3 at the Orange County Museum of Art, Los Angeles; Twinkle at Barney Savage, New York, which received an enthusiastic ARTForum review, and Jumping the Shadow at Sapar Contemporary, New York.
In addition to curating exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles and Berlin, and advising private global art collections, Silvis writes for Artsy, CNN and PARNASS. His interests include the intersection of contemporary art, faith and identity.
